This project is a collaborative venture between scientists at the University of Manchester whose aim is to identify novel biomarker of disease. This will be achieved by undertaking proteomics studies on plasma and tumour material from patients undergoing treatment for cancers. Professor Roy Goodacre and his team in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences who will be conducting parallel metabolomics studies.

University of Manchester with the Christie successfully obtained funding to improve clinical translational research. This included new facilities for clinical trials and related laboratory work.
